Handless Mouse
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to check out our new blog. Hope you enjoyed it and will make our blog a regular read. After reading all your comments about the Steelcase Walkstation and questions you asked of us; we have decided to get more information from the manufacturer and will keep you posted.
I think we have come up with another new product that you might find helpful. Your hands and wrists will be given a break and your feet will be tapping away. This foot mouse has a slipper shaped cursor controller where your foot rests. The pedal is preset by windows for their most popular features; however is programmable to what your needs are. Think of the gamers with both of their hands completely free for the battle! Answering the phone and multitasking with your hands just became a lot easier. I think this product will also be helpful to the physically challenged. Another usage for the Footime Mouse could be using it with a program like Microsoft tablet where you could actually type with your feet.
We look forward to hearing from you! Let us know if this is something you would like to see on our website for the price of about $199.00. Until next time.

I think both of the products you have featured on your blog are really great. The treadmill might be a little pricey but looks of high quality. I am a gamer and think I would get a lot of use out of the handless mouse. I do not see that on your website. Are you planning on adding it soon?
Thanks for blogging
JAY
Jay,
Thanks for the kudos on the blog and the products. Yes, I think we will be adding the handless mouse to the website and let us know if you would like to purchase one.

After keyboarding all day at the office, my hands hurt too much to play games with my kids at night. This looks like it might allow me to spend “kid time” and still save my hands. We have windows games at home but I use a Mac at the office. Will it work for both?
Dan from Texas
Hi Dan.. Thanks for checking out the blog and our website. Yes, the footmouse works with both Windows and Mac platforms. Hope we can help you to spend more time with your kids.

I am really interested in this product. I have severe carpal tunnel and mousing causes me extreme pain.
My only concern is the buttons on the pedals. They appear to be very close together. I have a large feet (size 14)
Do you think this will work for someone with big feet?
Hey Taylor.. I am going to check with the manufacturer on the space between the buttons. I will respond on the blog as soon as I find out.
Thanks for checking us out.
Stephanie
I have a bad back and often forget to take “stretching” breakes while I am working, hence getting less done and being in more upper back pain. While the mouse can be a bit annoying, halfway through your blog I was thinking about a keyboard you can use with your feet. I didn’t know that they were available and imagine it would take quite a bit of time to learn to type with them. Don’t monkeys use them? Are you thinking of selling them in the future? As for the mouse, I honestly think it is a bit pricey right now for me. I will, however, become more aware of how much I use the mouse and see if it would ease my back pain. Thanks for letting us know that it even exists and good luck with all of your terrific products. In this fairly new world of communicating so much on the computer, it is great to be kept updated on new and helpful products, especially for people like me who have pain issues.

Hi Samantha,
That sounds like a good idea to watch how much you are mousing. We have other great products on our website that would help out with your back pain. Do you have an ergonomically sound work environment? And yes, typing with the feet could be a bit tricky. You would need an interface program like Microsoft Tablet. Monkeys type. Isn’t that incredible? But, I am not sure what their preference is as far as their favorite mouse. I hope you can find something on our site
to help you with some of your pain issues.
Thanks again Samantha

There are so many homemade treadmills with desks attached. I really think you folks have the right idea. For an office, believe me the money is worth it. The quality of this Steelcase treadmill is far beyond even what they use at the big gyms. I will be having a webinar and I think that your administrator for your ergonomic store should join in. You seem to be on the right path. I see that you checked out my ystore blog.
Rob
Hi Rob,
I have not seen a homemade officewalker in person but your point is well taken regarding the quality of the Steelcase officewalker. Have you used the Steelcase model? I have been to a lot of blogs but would like to take part in your webinar. Let me know which ystore is yours ok? Thanks again for the comments and look forward to seeing more of you blogging around.
